Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has vowed to bounce back from his difficult moment, expressing frustration over his recent performances while appealing for greater support from supporters.

The Brazilian winger spoke about his struggles after a game, admitting that he was unhappy with his current form but insisting that he remained confident of returning to his best.

“I am not worried, but I am angry at myself for not giving my best version. My moment is bad, but I will be back for sure,” Vinícius said.

The 25-year-old also addressed the whistles directed at him by sections of the Real Madrid fan base, saying the criticism did not help him improve his performances, although he acknowledged the supporters’ right to express their disappointment.

“The whistles from the fans do not help me. I would rather they support me, but I understand because they pay for tickets,” he said.

Vinícius recalled the criticism he faced when he joined Real Madrid as an 18-year-old, pointing out that many doubted his ability to score goals during the early stages of his career.

“When I arrived at 18 years old, people laughed at me and said I could not score goals. Now I have more than 100 goals for Real Madrid. Do not forget that,” he stated.

The Brazilian international also highlighted the trophies he has won with the Spanish giants, insisting that his achievements at the club should not be overlooked despite his current struggles.

“I have won a lot of titles here. I do not need to name and count them. I will be back, mark my words, that is for sure,” he added.

In a separate remark, Vinícius said he would rather receive criticism himself than see younger players subjected to similar treatment from the stands.

“I would rather they boo me than the youngsters,” he said.

The forward’s comments also appeared to reflect his frustration over disciplinary decisions, as he questioned the consistency of punishments in football.

“I do not remember any player being banned for four games for pulling an opponent’s hair,” Vinícius said, expressing the view that he was being treated differently by rival clubs and sections of the media.
