Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has denied being a pedophile while recounting the events surrounding his controversial case and arrest.
Speaking during a conversation, Baba Ijesha said he had previously been warned that he should be careful of people who could falsely accuse him.
“They said the Spirit of God told them that I should be careful of false accusers. That is what they said. They said I will not see trouble, I will not inherit a prison sentence. That I should pray very well. That lies disguised as truth should not happen to me.”
When asked directly if he was a pedophile, the actor replied: “I am not a pedophile. I don’t know what they call it, even when they arrived I didn’t know what they were calling it there.”
He also maintained that he had not defiled anyone, saying, “I didn’t defile anyone. That I used a key deflowered a eight-year-old child. I said I also have children, and I said if truly I used it,a gun should be used to deflower my daughter.”
Baba Ijesha further recounted how he ended up in the situation that led to his arrest, claiming he had earlier been warned to remove something from his journey but failed to pay attention.
“They had told me to remove that thing from my journey. And I didn’t pay attention. I couldn’t see it. I didn’t pay attention. If I had paid attention, if I had paid attention, that thing wouldn’t have happened.”
He also recalled visiting Baba Owolowo at three days , saying, “I went there, he sat down, they performed rituals and arrested me.”
Speaking about Boss Bello’s house, Baba Ijesha added, “There are mostly women there. They are my products. I cannot ruin them like this. They are my products, we are the ones who trained them in work since back then.”
