Social commentator GehGeh has criticised Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe over his remarks about the mother of social media personality VeryDarkMan, advising him against involving himself in disputes involving people with greater influence and resources.
GehGeh, who described Carter Efe as a brother and friend, said he became aware of a petition reportedly filed against the streamer by an individual identified as IzzyTech over comments allegedly directed at VeryDarkMan’s mother.
Reacting to the development, GehGeh faulted Carter Efe’s decision to involve himself in the dispute, particularly his reported statement that he would continue fighting VeryDarkMan because the latter had allegedly insulted his benefactors, Zlatan Ibile and Davido.
He described the comment as unnecessary and unwise, arguing that supporting people who have helped an individual should not involve fighting their personal battles.
According to GehGeh, Carter Efe could demonstrate appreciation to Zlatan by supporting his fashion business and promoting his brand rather than engaging in online confrontations with his perceived enemies.
He also cited Davido as an example, saying he would not involve himself in the singer’s personal disputes despite their relationship or the influence Davido commands.
GehGeh further urged Carter Efe to exercise wisdom and avoid conflicts that could expose him to unnecessary legal or personal consequences.
Using a religious analogy, he compared the situation to the biblical account of God and Satan, arguing that people should not allow themselves to be drawn into battles when those directly involved have the capacity to handle their disagreements.
He concluded by emphasising the importance of wisdom and caution in relationships, particularly when supporting influential friends and benefactors.
