Theodore Orji, the Senator representing Abia central district of Abia State, has harped on the need for all leaders to render service to the people which they were elected for.
Senator Orji, a former Governor of Abia State, however reiterated his avowed commitments as representative of the people, to continue providing democratic dividends especially in the area of Infrastructures, health Care services, education and empowerment.
The Former Governor who made his feelings known shortly after Inspection tour of the ongoing reconstruction of Okwuta Primary School in Isieke, construction of Ukome Primary Health centre, Umuariaga Oboro Ikwuano Hospital project and reconstruction of Umuokeiyi Ohokobe Afara Health Centre initiated by him.
Senator Orji described the projects as everlasting, which he said when fully completed, would enhance the health care service of the people mostly at the grassroots areas.
He lauded the speedy level of work in the ongoing Infrastructural projects in his Senatorial zone and charged the host communities to give the contractors their maximum cooperation to ensure completion of the projects.
The federal lawmaker reassured Abia central constituents of more developmental strides, urging them to sustain their support for more infrastructures in the coming year, 2021.
According to Orji, “These projects will enable the people to access health care service. I am impressed with the speedy work on the projects. Some of the roads that are ongoing, initiated by the State government, I will prevail on the government, maybe, haste work on the Ukome Isieke road in Umuahia.
“The projects are ever lasting, where people can freely access Infrastructures”.
In their separate speeches, the President General of Ukome Development Union, Austin Okuonu, Chima Onukwubiri,(Okwuta Ibeku representative), Chief Mrs. Ngozi Onuoha(Representative of Oboro Ikwuano) and the Traditional Ruler of Enyiukwu Afaraukwu Ibeku, Eze Ukaegbu physically thanked Senator Theodore Orji for the laudable works, promising that they would ensure maintainence of the projects to enable people access it for their good.
