Anambra State Chairman of PDP of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Sir Ndubisi Nwobu (Obuka has expressed the readiness and willingness of the party to ensure equitable distribution of resources and public offices across the state in the spirit of justice and fairness.
This declaration was deprived from his statements during a live radio chat with WAZOBIA FM Onitsha on Monday 14th May, 2021 while responding to questions from the anchor on the station’s political platform program.
Hon Nwobu who responded to questions about sectorial development, security situation and the role of selected public officers in governance condemned in it’s entirety, the attitude of some leaders who continues widening the gap between the citizens through maladministration.
The party boss decried the poor state of infrastructure in Anambra presently, citing his trip to Onitsha through 33 road few hours to the program as a terrible experience.
According to him the education system has been so politicized that pupils are being chased from public schools for tuitions whereas the government have repeatedly announced that education is free. He said that PDP government will provide conducive environment for our children in public schools.
Speaking further, Hon Nwobu said that the healthcare and welfare of Anambra citizens must be prioritized by any well meaning government which he said has been the primary interest of PDP, not minding that the incumbent administration abandoned such basic entitlements soon after the elections.
He made it clear that the PDP has a good chance of taking over the government house if election was conducted today considering that the incumbent administration has failed in all ramifications despite the huge amount of money bequeathed to the governor by his predecessor.
Chief Obuka lamented the antidemocratic penchant of the APGA administration in borrowing off our future without commensurate infrastructure or social intervention to show for the billions of naira dildo far borrowed.
He linked the popularity of APGA to Peter Obi’s milestone achievements in office, noting that the foundation for its downfall has been laid by Willie Obiano through his abysmal performance for the past 7 years.
Furthermore, he described the female aspirants mentioned in a question Hon Mrs Chidi Onyemelukwe and Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife as very credible and eminently qualified to contest and win the gubernatorial election like their male counterparts in the race. He made it clear that any of the candidates elected by the delegates is sure to win contestants from other political parties irrespective of gender.
On Anambra Airport the party boss wondered why a responsible government would arrange for a plane to land on an uncompleted site which sapped the state of very huge sum of money to sponsor what he referred to as a jamboree. He advised the state government to concentrate on the project and complete it before blowing their trumpet.
Reacting to one of the callers named Mama WAZOBIA on the attitude of Sen Uche Ekwunife after the elections, Hon Nwobu stated that the Senator has performed creditably well in infrastructure and social intervention programs, despite the fact that her job is primarily about lawmaking.
According to him the Senator has provided palliatives, built houses and provided funds for her constituents to either start-up comfortably or expand existing businesses. He appealed to Anambra State electorates to ensure that they elect a PDP candidate considering that it is the party that has shown readiness to change the narrative and give the state a new dawn.
