Anambra 2025: Ukachukwu Not an Option, The Real Battle Is Between Soludo and Chukwuma

Soludo, Ukachukwu, Paul chukwuma

As the November 8, 2025 Anambra governorship election draws near, one thing is becoming increasingly clear the real contest will be between Sir Paul Chukwuma and Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. While other aspirants, including Nicholas Ukachukwu, have made attempts to assert relevance in the race, it is evident that Ukachukwu is not a viable option for Ndi Anambra.

Anambra State politics has always been shaped by competence, structure, and grassroots connection not empty noise. Between Soludo and Chukwuma, the state has two heavyweights with verifiable records of leadership, influence, and the capacity to mobilize votes across the 21 local government areas.

Governor Charles Soludo, running under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has spent the last four years stabilizing the state’s economy and introducing bold reforms in education, infrastructure, and digital governance. His administration, though not without challenges, has projected a vision of modern Anambra one that resonates with many intellectuals, technocrats, and the business elite.

On the other hand, Sir Paul Chukwuma, The Young Progressives Party (YPP) flagbearer, brings an equally compelling profile. A seasoned administrator, philanthropist, and political strategist, Chukwuma represents the face of change for those who believe Anambra deserves a more connected relationship with the federal government. His campaign has gained momentum with his message of unity, youth empowerment, and infrastructural renewal.

Ukachukwu, though experienced in politics, lacks the statewide political structure and contemporary appeal necessary to win a modern Anambra election. His campaign has struggled to break into the mainstream conversation, as most political blocs and stakeholders have already aligned with either Soludo or Chukwuma.

Anambra voters are highly discerning they understand the difference between a candidate with national reach and one with limited political machinery. To waste a vote on a candidate who stands little chance is to reduce the power of the electorate to shape the state’s future meaningfully.

The 2025 election, therefore, is not just another contest. It’s a referendum on performance versus promise. For Soludo, the question is whether his developmental blueprint deserves a second term. For Paul Chukwuma, the task is to convince Ndi Anambra that he can deliver faster, more pragmatic governance backed by federal synergy.

Conclusion

In truth, Anambra’s future will be decided between two capable hands Sir Paul Chukwuma and Charles Soludo. Any vote outside this duo is a vote cast in political oblivion.

As November 8 approaches, Ndi Anambra must choose between consolidating progress and embracing fresh energy. Either way, the state stands to gain but only if the choice is made between the two real contenders who have both the vision and the structure to lead Anambra forward.
