The State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra state Chapter, Senator Emma Anosike, has dismissed the Minister of Federal Capital Territory Chief Nyesom Wike over remarks against the Governor of Imo state Chief Hope Uzodimma on the position of the Party’s Governors’ Forum on the Rainbow Coalition.
The party also carpeted the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) over the mantra that the progressives are working together contending that voting only APC at the Presidential election without voting for the APC National Assembly candidates is an act of sabotage as according to it Tinubu needs majority of it’s party members as members of the Senate and the Federal House of Representatives to continue his Renewed Hope agenda..
According to the APC Chairman in the state Sen Emma Anosike, it mount to an insult on the integrity and sensibility of the APC Governors for Wike to make such comments insisting that the Minister is not a member of the party hence should stop middling in the internal affairs of the party.
“Governor Hope Uzodimma is the leader of the APC Governor’s Forum and is in full control of the party structures across the country through the members of the Forum and had shown capacity having delivered Mr President at his first term election and still has all that it takes to do it again in 2027 “
“It is unfortunate and indeed smaks of a person who is bereft of the capacity of the Governors of the APC for Wike to make such undignifying and malicious comments on the issue in question”
“The APC Anambra state sees Wike’s rantings as an affront against the party at the center and against our Governors and we advise Wike to purge himself of such an uncomplementary statements.”
“Wike is not a member of the APC hence cannot comment or middle in the affairs of our party because it is entirely a party affair and again we see the actions of Wike as an act of desperation to remain politically relevant through overheating the polity “
Senator Anosike also described the mantra of the Progressives are working together by APGA as diversional questioning the idea of voting for Tinubu and voting for candidates of APGA observing that Tinubu would end up not having the majority of it’s members at the Senate and Federal House of Representatives.
“Politics is all about numbers and we as a party do not see this diversional position of APGA in the statement that the Progressives are working together which would ultimately reduce the majority of APC lawmaker at the Red and Green Chambers to the peril of Mr President hence we hereby submit that in Anambra state the progressives are not working together” he said.
The Progressives are working together being championed by Governor Soludo and APGA is a fraud. We as a Party do not believe in it. Governor Soludo is trying to Use APC Election Machinery to deliver APGA Candidates.
Till today, no APGA Candidate for 2027 election in the whole of Anambra is campaigning for President Bola Tinubu the way APC Candidates are doing in the State. APGA. If APGA and Governor Soludo believed in President Bola Tinubu Tinubu and for him to succeed, He should encourage Ndi Anambra to Vote APC all through, the Statement concluded.
