Angry Youths Disrupt INEC Stakeholders’ Meeting In Delta, Chairman Allegedly Escapes Through Back Door Over Ward Fraud Allegations

Angry Youths Disrupt INEC Stakeholders’ Meeting In Delta

The Delta State Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) was allegedly forced to escape through a back door after angry youths disrupted a stakeholders’ meeting in Asaba over allegations of irregularities in the ward structure of Warri South Local Government Area.

The aggrieved youths reportedly insisted that there is no single Ijaw aboriginal community in Warri South, rejecting what they described as a fraudulent ward report allegedly uploaded on INEC’s official portal.

They warned that if INEC insists on relying on the disputed report ahead of the 2027 general elections, there would be no election in the Warri Federal Constituency.

The protesters maintained that their concerns must be addressed and the alleged irregularities corrected before the electoral process moves forward.
