A new dawn has come. History beckons. What becomes of today’s outcome from the takes of our judiciary becomes what stands as determinant factor about elections and its final outcome in this nation.
It’s possible to have a system that has failed to work. It’s unfortunate that we have a Government that has been in the habit of intimidation, harassment and crass abuse of the fundamental rights and privileges of the people.
The Judiciary stands as the very last resort, the only hope and possibly, saving grace of the common man. The Nigerian judiciary has a big role to play today. Nigerian Supreme Court Justices must bring forth their diligence in service, dedication to the Nigerian nation state, and integrity above all else today.
Nigeria and indeed, many other African nations are dragging the rest of the world backwards. Today, all eyes and flashpoint would be channeled on Nigeria – the Government, the Judiciary and the Security apparatus. The world would watch with folded hands from a distance.
Whatsoever plays out today, would send a message to the world on the progress of our nation, the independence and integrity of our Judiciary and the response of the populace.
Truth is – the world would not end if Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are declared President and Vice President respectively, as the rightful winners at the last General elections, against the victory given to Muhammad Buhari and Yemi Osibanjo whose victory as President and Vice President are in serious contention.
