Hon. Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Gloria Nnoli (Ph.D.) is a distinguished scholar, accomplished administrator, and respected political leader with an impressive record of service in governance, academia, and community development. Born in 1974 in Onitsha, Anambra State, she hails from Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. She is the first child of Late Chief Norbert Ezenwa, a renowned industrialist, and Mrs. Mercy Ezenwa, a retired educationist.
Fluent in Igbo and English, Dr. Mrs. Nnoli embodies a rare blend of cultural rootedness and global perspective. She is deeply committed to the principles of fairness, inclusion, and sustainable development, values that define both her public service and personal life.
A consummate academic, Dr. Mrs. Nnoli holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Management, an M.Sc. in Environmental Quality Management, and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science. She has also earned professional certifications in Conflict Resolution, Decision-Making, and Occupational Safety.
She is a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Management and Green Energy (CEMAGE), University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where her areas of expertise include climate change, environmental policy, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development. Passionate about marine sustainability, she is actively involved in developing an innovative academic program in Marine Economy and Marine Disaster Risk Management at the Institute of Maritime Studies, UNN.
Her record of public service includes notable appointments as a Board Member of the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi (2018–2023) and the National Council for Arts and Culture, Abuja (2018–2021), where she made significant contributions to strategic planning, institutional development, and financial oversight.
Politically, Dr. Mrs. Nnoli began her journey as Welfare Officer in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). She later rose through the ranks to become Deputy State Women Leader and currently serves as the Assistant State Welfare Officer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra State. Over the years, she has played pivotal roles in major political campaigns, including the 2021 Anambra Governorship Election, the 2023 APC Presidential Campaign Council (South-East), and the 2024 Ondo State Primaries.
A committed professional, she is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), the Society of Professional Disaster Risk Managers of Nigeria (SOPDRIMN), and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN).
Beyond her professional and political engagements, Dr. Mrs. Nnoli is a devoted wife, mother of six, and proud grandmother.
