Chadian President Idriss Deby, early today announced that his troops will no longer partake in In regional anti-jihad operations, gives his reasons to Nigeria Government and other African Countries that are involved in the operations .
President Idriss on a statement to Al-Jazeera said : “Our troops have died for Lake Chad and the Sahel. From today, no Chadian soldiers will take part in a military mission outside Chad.”
He also said “my troops killed 1,000 insurgents but the sad news is that 52 troops lost their lives in that operation.”
Deby’s lamented failures by allies to do more in the fight against Boko Haram and other terror sects including ISWAP.
Chad is alone in shouldering all the burden of the war against Boko Haram,” Al-Jazeera quoted Deby to have publicly protested.
