Bye Election: Abia Speaker Canvasses Support For PDP’s Chimaobi Ebisike

Ahead of March 27 Bye election for Aba North and Aba South federal constituency seat in House of Representatives, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Chinedum Orji, has called on the people of Aba to maintain their unflinching support to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-led administration in the state.

The Abia Speaker who made the call during a mega rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at Etche Road Field Aba in support of the Party Candidate, Chimaobi Ebisike in the coming bye election for Aba North/South federal constituency seat in House of Representatives.

Hon Orji described Ebisike as a young man who will not disappoint the youths but carry them along.

According to the Speaker, “he is one of us; he is somebody I know well and he is somebody you know very well; he will always return to you; he will take care of you; he will not abandon you”.

Orji reminded the electorates that a vote for Chimaobi Ebisike is a vote of confidence in Governor Ikpeazu for all that he has been doing for the state and urged them not to disappoint him.

While raising Ebisike’s hand before mammoth of Party leaders, stakeholders and supporters which was attended by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Deputy and top Government functionaries, the Speaker, Hon Chinedum Orji, tasked the Party flagbearer to take the welfare of the people seriously, stating that PDP has also delivered on its promises beyond expectation hence the need for Aba constituents to reciprocate by massively vote for Chimaobi Ebisike as their next Representative in the Nigera green chamber.

“Today, you have entered an agreement with the people that you will not abandon them and that you will take care of them”.

Rt. Hon Orji extolled the performances of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu which he described as excellent, positing that it is a pointer to the quality representation Ebisike will give the people of Aba North/Aba South at the House of Representatives when he is finally elected by the people on March 27.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced March 27,2021 for the conduct of bye election for the vacant seat of Aba North and Aba South federal constituency of Abia State at House of Representatives following the unfortunate demise of the former occupant, Late Hon Ossy Prestige.

Akelicious reported that Late Ossy Prestige, who represented Aba North/South Federal Constituency and was elected under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) platform, died after battling an undisclosed illness in Germany.
