The Presidential and National Assembly elections in Ekiti on Saturday was largely peaceful with some candidates commending INEC and security agencies over the exercise.
The Ekiti Central Senatorial District candidate on the platform of PDP, Obafemi Adewale, commended the conduct of the polls and the turnout of voters.
He said that there was a little scuffle earlier in the day, but added that the situation was promptly brought under control by security agencies.
Hon. Ayodele Oladimeji, a PDP candidate and current member representing Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency of Ekiti, also said the process had been peaceful in Igede-Ekiti.
He also lauded INEC for doing a great job so far.
