Chelsea Football Club have officially confirmed the dismissal of head coach Liam Rosenior following a series of underwhelming performances.
In a statement released by the club, Chelsea expressed appreciation for Rosenior’s efforts, highlighting his professionalism and integrity since taking over midway through the season. However, the club noted that recent results fell short of expectations at a crucial stage of the campaign.
“This has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly,” the statement read, emphasizing that standards were not being met despite key objectives still within reach.
Chelsea also announced that Calum McFarlane will step in as Interim Head Coach until the end of the season. He will be supported by the existing backroom staff as the team continues its push for European qualification and progress in the FA Cup.
The club further revealed plans to begin a thorough review process aimed at securing a stable, long-term appointment in the managerial position.
Rosenior’s departure adds to Chelsea’s recent managerial changes, underlining ongoing efforts to restore consistency and competitiveness at the club.
