Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has commissioned another water project in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
Today Friday 18th December, 2020 the Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring committee led by the former commissioner for women affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata visited the provision borehole at Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Arriving the popular Umunono Hall in Nibo Ward II which located at Chief Kene Nweke Avenue, formerly known as Ifite Nibo Road, the project team were received by some community leaders, PDP party leaders in the community and some residents of Nibo.
Reacting to the development, Ozo Umeadi Nwabuisi (Ozo Nkpume), the Awka South Local Government Ex-Offio of the party from Umuenechi Nibo, described the water project as a thing of Joy. He noted that the water will not only serve to residents of the area but to the general public. He appreciate Senator Ekwunife for remembering the people of the area and urged for developments like road construction in Nibo. He furthermore urged more other public office holders to emulate Distinguished Senator Ekwunife’s style of leadership which is focused on addressing the yearnings of the people at the grassroots.
He finally hailed Senator Ekwunife for being a representative that she is truly for the people. He noted that her good works echoes round the Senatorial District and beyond while prayed for God’s blessings and sustenance upon her as she strives to attract more dividends of democracy to the people.
In her remark, the leader of the Project team, Lady Henrietta Agbata conveyed the Senator’s message of gratitude to the people of the community and thanked them for their unflinching support for her in the last election. She assured them of Senator Ekwunife’s commitment to attract more developmental projects to Nibo community, and urged them to always put her in their prayers.
