Tragedy struck in Ayanfuri, Diaso District, after a traditional ruler reportedly died from an accidental gunshot during a funeral ceremony on Friday, May 9, 2026.
According to reports, the pump-action gun allegedly discharged accidentally during funeral rites, striking the chief in the abdomen.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly died while receiving treatment.
