A viral video circulating on social media has sparked concern after a Good Samaritan reportedly encountered a new mother who had allegedly refused to bathe herself and her one-week-old baby in Umuahia, Abia State.
According to the person who shared the video, the woman reportedly gave birth at home without assistance and had remained unwilling to take a bath or bathe her newborn since delivery.
In the footage, several women could be seen appealing to the new mother to take care of herself and the baby. Some of the women expressed concern over the baby’s hygiene and urged the mother to bathe the child.
