COVID-19: Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu Not Transferred To Lagos – Aide

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has not been transferred to Lagos State for continuation of treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19), contrary to reports.

An aide to the governor refuted the repports while responding to Akelicious‘s request for comment on Thursday night.

The aide, who didn’t want to be mentioned, told this website that Governor Ikpeazu was still receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Abuja.

“Please disregard reports on the transfer of his excellency to Lagos State, It is not true. I can confirm to you that the governor is very sharp and has been responding well to treatment in Abuja. In fact he just went to bed now,” said the aide.

Akelicious had exclusively reported that two of the governor’s aides who recently tested positive for COVID-19 had recovered from the dreaded virus.

A source close to Ikpeazu recently told our correspondent that the governor was optimistic that the result of his next test would return negative. Ikpeazu had tested positive for Coronavirus on June 8.
