Covid-19: NCDC records 999 new cases, confirms 4 deaths

Another 999 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic have been discovered by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on 22nd of December, 2020. According to the Nigeria Center for Disease 999 persons were tested positive for Covid-19 in 17 states across Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In the latest report, 416 cases of Coronavirus were discovered in FCT, while 324 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered in Lagos state. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control stated that (68) and (42) fresh cases of Coronavirus were discovered in Kaduna state and Plateau state, while Kwara and Kano states recorded (32) and (24) new cases respectively.

Furthermore, Gombe state recorded (14) new cases of Covid-19, while both Sokoto and Yobe states recorded (12) fresh cases of Coronavirus. Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states recorded (11) and (10) fresh cases of Covid-19, while (7) new cases were recorded in Rivers and Bauchi states. Also, Ogun and Oyo states recorded (6) and (8) fresh cases, while both Edo and Taraba states recorded (4) fresh cases of Covid-19.

Additionally, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control has reported 79,789 cases of Covid-19 since the inception of the deadly virus in the Nigerian society. However, 68, 879 discharge cases have been recorded, nevertheless, 1231 death cases have been recorded.
