Akelicious reports that Dooshima, the pregnant woman at the center of a recent domestic abuse controversy, has allegedly suffered a miscarriage following an assault by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Amber Ndifon.
The story, which drew widespread attention on social media, stemmed from a viral video in which Dooshima accused her mother-in-law of physically assaulting her in the presence of her husband, who reportedly failed to intervene. In the video, Dooshima also alleged that her mother-in-law instructed her to vacate their home.
In a recent update, human rights activist Agba Jalingo revealed via a Facebook post that Dooshima has reportedly lost her pregnancy due to the alleged physical abuse. He further disclosed that she is currently battling health complications resulting from the assault and psychological stress.
Jalingo called on the Cross River State Commissioner for Education to intervene in the matter, especially considering the need to uphold justice and protect vulnerable individuals in domestic settings.
He also confirmed that the Cross River State Commissioner for Health and the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have waded into the issue and pledged to ensure a thorough investigation and appropriate legal action.
