The Ebonyi State has said it will train and upgrade Ministry of Environment Taskforce team in that state

The Commissioner for Environment Comrade Jonah Egba disclosed this in a meeting he had with members of the taskforce in Abakaliki the Ebonyi state capital

Egba said the ministry has concluded plans to train and upgrade the status of the members of the ministry’s taskforce team.

According to him after training the team, they would cease to be called taskforce but would be known and addressed as “Ebonyi State Environmental Marshal”

Egba also noted with dismay the ugly behaviors of some members of the taskforce parading themselves everywhere in the state, adding that with the new name and everything they would be attached to it, they would be distinguished from others to avoid impersonation.

He equally appreciated the good works they have been doing for the state and charged them to brace up with the challenges ahead.

Our repoter gathered that Egba said 5% of Ebonyi state Environment Marshal functions is to keep the city clean, there are many other things that we need to do” he said.
