The Edo state government has announced the dissolution of all commissions in the state government public service with immediate effect.
This was made known in a statement by the secretary to the state government Umar Musa, who stated the commissions to include the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, the Civil Service Commission. And the house of assembly commission among others.
According to the statement, all chairmen and members of the commissions are advised to handover all government properties in their possession to the most senior public officer in their commission.
