Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft was involved in a runway incursion after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday, assuring the public that all passengers and crew members are safe.
In a public notice issued by the airline, Enugu Air said everyone on board safely disembarked from the aircraft, with no injuries or casualties recorded.
The airline added that the aircraft has been secured, while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with standard procedures. It noted that an assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
Enugu Air also warned that the incident could lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules. According to the airline, passengers affected by any changes will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.
Reassuring customers, the airline said the safety of its passengers, crew, and operations remains its highest priority and promised to provide further updates through its official communication channels as more information becomes available.
