Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has commended Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State following the official launch of the state’s own airline, “Enugu Air.”
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Governor, Okonkwo expressed deep admiration for what he described as “a revolutionary step toward economic transformation and digital innovation in Enugu State.”
“Enugu is on air,” Okonkwo declared. “This is not just a new airline; it is a symbol of vision, leadership, and progress. Enugu Air will make travel more affordable and accessible, encouraging more of our people to return home and more Nigerians to explore the beauty and business potential of our state.”
Governor Mbah, during the launch, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to modernising the state’s infrastructure, boosting tourism, and creating jobs. “Nwanne,” the Governor said, “the task of building a state is not for one person. We must all join hands to build our state.”
The newly launched Enugu Air is expected to reduce flight costs by nearly 50%, a move seen as a significant boost for trade, investment, and tourism in the region.
Okonkwo called on all indigenes and residents to support the Mbah administration’s forward-looking initiatives. “We are truly blessed to have Governor Peter Mbah leading Enugu State at this time. His achievements are historic,” he added.
