Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record in the European Championship while the full round of 16 fixtures have been confirmed by UEFA.
Ronaldo was in high spirits against France as he scored a brace, both penalties, to help Portugal secure a 2:2 draw and a pass to the knockout stages of the Euros.
Karim Benzema also scored a brace for France for France in the game as two ex team mates at Real Madrid did what they knew best for their nations.
Portugal finished 3rd in their group on 4 points. France won the group with 5 points while Germany finished on 4 points but had a superior head to head record over Portugal.
A late goal by Leon Goretzka also helped Germany secure a 2-2 draw against Hungary that sent them to the last 16.
Their placing in the group has given Portugal a very tough fixture in the round of 16 where they are going to face Belgium.

Ronaldo sets a new record and equals another:
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in the Portugal vs France game. The double has helped him equal the most international goals ever which still stands at 109. The record book now reads, Ali Deai – 109, Cristiano Ronaldo – 109. One more goal FOR Portugal and Ronaldo breaks that record.
However, Ronaldo’s first goal in the game was his 20th goal across the World Cup and European Championship Finals. Which helped him set the record for most goals across the two competitions.
Ronaldo was previously tied with Miroslav Klose on 19, but he now has 21 after his double.
