Super Eagles of Nigeria maintains their spot as the 31st team in the World Football Ranking for December.
On FIFA website, the ranking showed that Nigeria had 1,493 points, same as they had in the November ranking.
The ranking still retained Nigeria third on the continent, behind Senegal and Tunisia.
Meanwhile on the global scene, Belgium are the FIFA ranking’s ‘Team of the Year’ for the second successive time after a record-breaking year.
Belgium sit on to top spot in a December table barely impacted by just 19 friendlies, but with 1082 international A matches – an all-time high since the Ranking’s 1993 inception – having already been played.
World champions France and Copa America winner’s Brazil also remain in second and third respectively, the positions they held in December 2018, but to make-up the top five in the world, England climbed one place to reach fourth and Uruguay moved up to fifth.
