Amb. David Geoman

At 16, the Kaduna-born creative is building a distinctive identity across entertainment, humanitarianism, youth advocacy and the performing arts.

At an age when many teenagers are still discovering their interests, Amb. David Obama Onyekachi Christopher Geoman, popularly known as The Green Panther and Son Of Grace, has already spent more than a decade developing his talents and building a public identity around creativity, service and youthful ambition.

Born in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria, and originally from Ezuhunguru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, David’s journey began remarkably early. His father, High Chief Amb. Christopher Geoman, recognised his son’s talent when he was just three years old and became an important force behind his development.

Inspired by the late global music icon Michael Jackson, David initially performed as an impersonator and became known as the “African Michael Jackson.” But rather than remaining defined by imitation, the young performer gradually developed his own artistic identity, emerging as The Green Panther and eventually embracing Son Of Grace as the name of his expanding personal brand.

His transition from performer to songwriter marked another important chapter. At just eight, David wrote and recorded “Heal Nigeria,” a song expressing a child’s hope and prayer for a better country. The song became the title track of his first album, alongside works including This Life, Orphans Cry, I Am Alive and Clearing My Head.

His songwriting has since taken him beyond the conventional entertainment space. One of his compositions connected with the Nigerian diaspora was adopted in connection with the activities of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), further increasing his visibility as a young Nigerian creative.

David has also appeared on major performance platforms and shared stages with established entertainers including 2Baba (TuFace Idibia), Burna Boy, Di’Ja, Small Doctor, Zule Zoo, MC Tagwaye, Klint da Drunk, Ozzy Bosco, Gordons, Acapella, Rita and Zack Orji, Chucks Mordi and Zeb Ejiro, among others. His performance experience has included major events such as One Lagos Fiesta and Panafest in Ghana.

His growing profile has been accompanied by numerous awards, honours and appointments. Among them are a National Humanitarian Award, Global Peace Ambassador Award, Africa Dance Academy recognition, Abuja Entertainment Stars Award, Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths Award for Exceptional Talent, and Personality of the Year recognition. He has also received several brand ambassador appointments and inductions, including recognition associated with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, 1,000 Nigerian Peace Ambassadors and Kaduna Political Awards Hall of Fame.

Yet David’s story is not confined to entertainment.

On 16 January 2026, his 16th birthday, he officially launched the Son Of Grace brand at St. Anne’s Nursery and Primary School, Kaduna. The initiative represents his ambition to bring his entertainment, humanitarian and youth-focused activities under a broader platform.

That vision moved another step forward on 19 September 2026, when he officially unveiled the Son Of Grace Operational Headquarters in Kaduna.

Education remains another part of his journey. After graduating from Demonstration Secondary School, Kaduna, on 8 August 2026, where he was recognised as the Most Talented Graduating Student and became the school’s first Prom King, David proceeded to Veritas Catholic University Abuja, where he is studying Theatre Arts in the Applied Arts Faculty as one of the pioneer students of the department.

Beyond the stage and classroom, David is also exploring youth advocacy through “The 3 Gees (Good Children Series),” a talk-show podcast he hosts with his sisters. The programme tackles issues affecting young people, including drug abuse, kidnapping and other social challenges.

His latest Album Higher Higher which is Rocking the Airwaves presently is another proof of the depth of his imense Talent, the Album which has Tracks like Dropping Bars,Midnight Rain (Anti Zenephobia Vaccine) and I dey shine chronicles the young man’s perspective of his environment, insight into future, and a good reason to dance and smile.
