Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has approved the payment of the first phase of the medical bills of veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, as she battles an undisclosed health challenge.
The intervention was disclosed by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Dr. Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as JMartins, who expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for the timely support while urging Nigerians to continue contributing towards the actress’s treatment.
According to JMartins, the Governor’s approval covers only the initial phase of Ngozi Nwosu’s medical expenses, noting that additional financial assistance is still required to ensure she receives the care she needs.
Announcing the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter), JMartins wrote: “His Excellency @alexottiofr has just stepped in on the health issues of our Abia-born Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills.”
He further appreciated Governor Otti for the intervention and appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support the veteran actress financially.
“While we sincerely appreciate His Excellency, we still appeal to kind-hearted Nigerians to please support her in any way possible,” he added.
