……as he reiterates his support and that of Mburubu Community for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah .
The Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd, Chief Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has reassured Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah that his re-election bid is a done deal following his administration’s visible achievements in the state within the past three years.
Speaking with newsmen in Enugu on Sunday over the growing support from people across the state towards Governor Mbah’s administration, Dr. Onuokaibe stated that it is a sign of appreciation by the people towards the Governor for leaving a mark of presence in their various localities with smart schools, Type 2 hospitals, roads, and other infrastructure that are either functional or near completion.
He stated that Governor Mbah’s infrastructural drive in the state has positively affected his Mburubu area, where their smart school and Type 2 hospital are over 97% completed, same with their roads.
He also stated that, through Governor Mbah, transportation from Enugu to his area, Mburubu, which used to take three hours, is now about 20 minutes because of the massive road construction in the area; adding that no single vote from his area would be found wanting during the 2027 general elections.
According to him, “This is not about politics but about what people can see and feel. Roads are open, schools are standing, and hospitals are coming alive. Our people now move freely without fear or delay. These are things we have talked about for years but never experienced. Today, we are seeing them happen in real time, and that is why the support for the Governor is growing across constituencies. Take for instance, my area Mburubu is experiencing ongoing road construction with quality drainage, a smart school, and a Type 2 hospital, among others. All these works are over 97% completed. The road has made my area more accessible and visible to all. What normally takes three hours’ drive from Enugu now takes about 20 minutes. Isn’t that incredible? What can someone call government presence more than that? It is why Mburubu people are happy with him and giving him massive support, which will reflect in their votes next year. No single vote from Mburubu will be found wanting.”
On the opposition’s manipulative and misleading claims against the Governor, Dr. Onuokaibe likened their actions to the last moves of a fading group, as they are surprised at how Enugu is progressing under Mbah.
He also stated that what is troubling the paid critics is the lack of attention that Ndi Enugu give to their biased and selfish claims, which they believed would create negative feelings among the people towards the Governor.
“They expected people to react to their claims that are full of lies, but that has not happened. The people are focused on what is on ground. When you see roads, security, schools, and hospitals, it is hard to be distracted by noise. That is why their efforts are not gaining support among the electorate.”
On Governor Mbah’s decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), Onuokaibe, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Mburubu Construction Company, stated that it was the right call for both political and development reasons, as it has brought more stability to the growth of the state under his administration.
He also countered the pessimistic narrative of Enugu not being the same since Governor Mbah joined APC as one that does not reflect the reality on ground, as development projects are ongoing, government activities are steady, and the people continue to benefit from policies that are improving their daily lives across wards.
“People who say things have gone down are not being fair to what is happening. You can travel across the state and see projects at different stages. The government is working, and the impact is clear in many areas. Change will always come with different opinions, but what matters is the result. For us at the grassroots, we are seeing progress, and that is what should guide public discussion, not fear or wrong impressions.”
