Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has threatened to shutdown the state over the covid 19 pandemic.
He expressed concern over the non-compliance with the Covid-19 safety protocols, by residents of the state.
Governor Hope Uzodimma, raised the alarm while addressing newsmen at the Government House, Owerri and expressed dissatisfaction over the number of deaths recorded so far from the pandemic in the State.
He then threatened that non compliance to COVID-19 safety protocols, would soon attract fine and also the total shut down of government.
Governor Uzodimma also used the opportunity to reassure the state civil servants, that their welfare remains a priority of his government.
He however called on the residents, to join hands with him, towards restructuring and rebuilding the state economy.
