I Inherited Challenges, I’m Doing Something About Them — Tinubu

Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has defended his administration’s handling of Nigeria’s security challenges, saying he inherited deep-rooted problems but has refused to shy away from addressing them.

Speaking while receiving a delegation of Catholic Bishops at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu said his government is taking concrete steps to strengthen the country’s security architecture and defeat terrorism.

“I don’t run away from what I inherited. I inherited challenges. Am I doing something about it? Yes, I can tell you I’m doing something about it. We are building new barracks, new stations and equipping our security personnel so we can defeat terrorism,” the President said.

Tinubu added that his administration remains committed to improving the welfare and operational capacity of the armed forces and other security agencies through better infrastructure, modern equipment, and sustained investments aimed at restoring peace and protecting lives across the country.
