Nollywood actress and politician’s wife, Regina Daniels, has finally spoken out about her marriage to billionaire businessman and lawmaker, Prince Ned Nwoko, addressing long-standing public criticism and rumours surrounding their union.
In an emotional message shared on social media, the actress pleaded with the public to stop insulting her mother, saying she had endured years of hurtful comments accusing her of marrying Nwoko solely for financial gain.
“I tried to be silent on this but I can’t any longer. You guys should stop saying I got married to Ned Nwoko because of his money that’s wrong,” she said. “We were financially stable. Please stop insult!ng my mom. She warned me, but it’s me. I’m so ashamed to say I fell in love. I was going to kpai myself if I didn’t marry Ned.”
Regina, who has two sons with Nwoko, further expressed her disappointment at the constant public judgment and the toll it has taken on her family.
“What amount can a man give a mother for a child already providing everything at home?” she asked, emphasizing that her mother did not push her into the marriage for money.
The actress also sent a clear message to her estranged husband, hinting at ongoing family tensions.
She said, “Stop insult!ng my mum. My dear ex-husband, Ned Nwoko, I will f!ght for my boys, train them with or without you.”
Although Regina did not give details about the current state of her marriage, her remarks suggest a possible rift between her and the Delta-born politician.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, have often been in the spotlight due to their significant age difference and Nwoko’s polygamous lifestyle.
