A Nigerian lady has cried out for help after allegedly discovering that her years of savings had disappeared from her Access Bank account.
In a viral video, the woman claimed she had been saving money in the account since 2022 while living and working in Dubai. According to her, she expected to have accumulated about ₦2 million between 2022 and 2023, after which she continued saving from 2023 to 2026.
However, she said she was shocked when she returned to Nigeria and visited the bank to check her account balance, only to discover that there was no significant money left in the account.
“They’ve taken my money, all my savings,” she said while appealing to Nigerians for help.
The woman further alleged that the bank informed her that ₦20,000 had been repeatedly withdrawn from her account since 2024, despite her insisting that she did not carry out the transactions.
She also said she planned to visit an MTN office to investigate what happened to her SIM card, as she was concerned that someone else may have gained access to her mobile line.
“I still have the SIM card here in my phone. I want to go there and ask them if they sold my SIM card to somebody else,” she said.
The distressed woman appealed to the bank, telecommunications company and Nigerians to help her investigate the alleged withdrawals and recover her savings.
She said she had worked hard for the money while in Dubai and was devastated after discovering that her savings were allegedly no longer in her account.
The allegations have generated reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for a proper investigation to determine how the withdrawals were carried out and who was responsible.
