The Lagos State Government has formally installed Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu as the new Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area, presenting him with the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment.
The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, by the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs Kikelomo Bolarinwa.
The installation followed the approval of Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council after the death of the late Onise of Ise Kingdom, Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan. The new monarch will reign as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu.
Agbaje urged the new monarch to make peace, unity and inclusive development priorities of his reign, while encouraging him to promote reconciliation among the royal families and work towards the collective progress of Ise Kingdom.
