The Lagos State Local Government Service Commission has extended the date for the Computer-Based Test in the ongoing recruitment exercise for positions in Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas.
The test, which was initially scheduled to hold on Monday, July 7, will now run from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11, 2025.
The extension, according to the commission in a statement released on Monday, became necessary following technical congestion and traffic delays reported by applicants.
“This decision was taken to ease pressure on the system and allow all candidates adequate time and access to complete their assessments without difficulty,” LGSC said.
The commission assured that the extension would not affect the integrity of the process and urged applicants to take advantage of the additional days.
“We recognise the enthusiasm and turnout recorded so far and want to ensure every eligible applicant has a fair chance to participate,” LGSC added.
Candidates are required to log on to the official website, lslgsc.com.ng, using compatible browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Upon accessing the CBT portal, applicants are expected to log in with their unique IDs in the format: Name/LGSC/State of Origin (e.g., Emeka/LGSC/Osun), and enter the last 10 digits of their registration number as the password.
Once logged in, they will be directed to their CBT dashboard, where they are to follow all test instructions before commencing the selection exercise.
Applicants have been advised to ensure a stable internet connection and avoid refreshing or closing their browsers while taking the test, as doing so would end the session automatically.
LGSC urged all participants to take the test in a quiet and convenient environment and thanked them for their patience and cooperation during the process.
