A Lagos resident has been arrested for dumping refuse into a drainage channel during rainfall in Meiran, Lagos.
Managing Director at Lagos Waste Management Authority, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, disclosed this on his official X handle on Wednesday, adding that the arrest followed a tip-off received by a joint enforcement team comprising the Lagos State Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, KAI, and Mobile Police personnel.
The suspect was apprehended at the scene and taken to the KAI headquarters for prosecution.
