Lawmaker Continues To Receive Constituents, As Asha Confirm 2 Nominees For The Chief Judge And Auditor General Of The State

Politics is about the people and therefore the success of a leader depends largely on how well he or she connects with your people.

Hon. John Nwokoye, the vibrant member representing the good people of Awka has continued to show, for the right reasons, why he was mandated by his Constituents to represent them with his open door ans inclusive legislation.

Today, with the State House of Assembly in an emergency sitting to confirm substantively the acting Chief Judge and the acting Auditor General of the State, the workaholic Legislator was in his office at the complex, early enough, before plenary, to attend to his Constituents, who had come for one engagement or the other.

According to the Hon. John Nwokoye, who is also the Onowu of Achalla Achalla Kingdom, his intention as a representative is to ensure that everyone in Awka North feels that
they are connected to the
decision‐making process in the next four years.

The lawmaker later join his colleagues at the hallowed chamber to confirm Hon. Justice Ijem Onwuamaegbu as the substantive Chief Judge of the State. Becoming the first female Judge of the State, a feat under the administration of Chief Willie Obiano, who has given more of our women opportunities to serve in his government.

The other person confirmed was Mr Alexander C Onwuli, who became the substantive Auditor General of the State.

The confirmations ended with the adjournment of the House till the 30th of July, 2019, when legislator will return from recess.

Hon. John Nwokoye, a political leader with immense goodwill has promised to leave a benchmark for assessment, and for others who will come after him.
