Prominent Niger Delta leader, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, endorsing him for a second term in office.
Speaking on the state of the nation, Tompolo praised President Tinubu’s commitment to democracy, especially in ensuring that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara remains in office despite political tensions.
“President Tinubu is a good person with experience. He is doing everything to ensure Fubara returns as governor; he believes in democracy and will not truncate it,” Tompolo stated.
Calling for national support, Tompolo urged Nigerians to allow Tinubu to complete his constitutionally allowed two terms. “Let him finish his 8 years before we find someone else. We endorse President Tinubu for a second term,” he affirmed.
