A Nigerian man has raised concerns after allegedly discovering maggots inside a pack of Indomie noodles purchased for consumption.
The man, who expressed shock over the discovery, called on the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and Indomie Nigeria to investigate the matter and provide answers to consumers.
According to him, the alleged contamination raises serious questions about food safety and quality-control processes, particularly how a product reportedly containing maggots could make it through production, packaging and distribution to reach the market.
He also urged the relevant authorities to take the complaint seriously and conduct an urgent investigation to determine the source of the alleged contamination and whether other products from the same batch could be affected.

The incident has sparked concerns among consumers, with calls for stronger quality checks and accountability within the food manufacturing and distribution chain.
Neither NAFDAC nor Indomie Nigeria’s response to the allegation was included in the information available at the time of reporting.
Consumers have been advised to report suspected contaminated food products to the appropriate regulatory authorities and retain the product and packaging where possible for investigation.
