Argentine footballer Mauro Icardi has broken his silence on his ongoing divorce battle with ex-wife Wanda Nara, revealing that an Italian court rejected what he described as her “outrageous” financial demands.

In a statement shared on his Instagram Stories, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray striker said the court dismissed Nara’s requests for substantial monthly payments as part of their divorce proceedings.

According to Icardi, the demands included €250,000 per month for Nara, €65,000 per month for each of their two daughters, and an additional €100,000 per month as part of the divorce settlement.

He disclosed that the initial claims were rejected by the court on June 1, 2026, and that an appeal filed by his ex-wife was later declared inadmissible by an Italian court on July 27, 2026.

“Over here, it’s all good news. There has been a new ruling,” Icardi wrote.

He added that the latest decision effectively brings an end to the financial claims made against him, with only the final divorce judgment remaining before the legal process is concluded.

The 33-year-old also expressed confidence in the Italian judicial system, stating that he had insisted from the outset that the case should be handled in Italy.

Icardi and Argentine media personality Wanda Nara married in May 2014 after the conclusion of Nara’s divorce from former footballer Maxi López. The couple announced their separation in September 2022, and have since been engaged in a highly publicized legal dispute over their divorce and financial settlement.
