Medeama SC returned to winning ways in the 2019-2020 Ghana Premier League when they pipped fellow title hopefuls Ashgold 1-0 at the Akoon Park this afternoon.

Medeama started the second half the same way they began the first and were rewarded with a penalty which Prince Opoku Agyemang duly converted in the 64th minute to send the stadium into raptures.
With a second defeat staring at the Miners in the game they took the game by the scruff of the neck creating a number of half-hearted chances but to no avail as goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi had answers to all the attacks of the opposition.

The win means the Tarkwa-based side have masterminded the downfall of the three big sides in the country’s top-flight
