Mexican forces have reportedly taken down Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho, leader of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) — and Mexico is erupting in chaos.
The high-level operation unfolded in Jalisco, where seven cartel members were killed in a raid allegedly supported by U.S. intelligence. Three soldiers were wounded in the intense firefight.
Within hours, CJNG unleashed violent retaliation across multiple states — highways blocked, vehicles set on fire, armed clashes reported, schools shut down, and flights disrupted. Entire cities felt the shockwave.
