Mixed feelings for Iwobi after Everton debut

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi, says he is happy to have made his Everton debut against Aston Villa at the Villa Park on Friday, but was disappointed with the outcome of the game.

Iwobi was brought on by Marco Silva in the 61st minute, replacing Gylfi Sigurdsson, with Everton down by a goal, but the Toffees ended up losing the game 2-0 courtesy of a late strike by another substitute, Anwar El Ghazi.

The Everton number 17 took to the social media to express his feelings on his debut.

“Disappointing result, but happy to have made my debut for Everton, We go again, up the Toffees,” Iwobi posted on his Instagram page.

The 23-year-old also said the team already identified the areas to work on after their defeat to Villa.

“It was a little bit of lack of concentration and it is something we already know because we talked about it in the changing room.”
