He said the group would not delay in reporting any of its members found to be involved in criminal activities within the zone.

He said it was necessary to correct the wrong impression that herders’ interests in the region were beyond economic pursuits, noting that such an assumption or the impression had made their members quite uncomfortable in the zone. Siddiki stated that the suspicion that the herdsmen had territorial ambitions has generated unhealthy relationships in most parts of the region.

  1. South east are peace loving people, they welcome strangers and goes extra miles to protect them. Endeavour to educate your herders also to stay away from farm land because, so much as your cattle are important to you, like wise are the farm lands to farmers. Once this is done there wouldn’t be the need for any conflict. The farm produce are the only source of livelihood for the farmers. If your cows destroyed those crops how do you expect the farmers to survive.
