NDC Has No Clear Plan for Nigeria Yet — Onanuga

Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has criticized the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing the party of lacking a clear policy direction and ideological vision for Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement shared on social media, Onanuga said he recently visited the NDC’s website out of “sheer curiosity” to examine the party’s manifesto and governance plans, particularly following the reported alignment of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso with the platform after their alleged fallout with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to him, attempts to download the party’s manifesto from its official website were unsuccessful, returning the message, “No document found.”

Onanuga noted that despite the NDC being registered earlier this year, the party had yet to upload a comprehensive manifesto, relying instead on what he described as “six policy nuggets” presented as pillars.

He argued that the outlined policies lacked substance and were similar to ideas repeatedly promoted by Obi in recent years.

The presidential aide also took a swipe at NDC’s national leader, Seriake Dickson, saying he looked forward to seeing the party’s actual vision and mission for Nigeria.

“The party appears to be the camp for the politically displaced and desperate,” Onanuga stated.
