Ahead of Nigeria at 60 independence anniversary, the All Progressives Congress, Imo State chapter has lauded Imolites in particular and Nigerians in general for their resilience and unfailing faith in the Nigerian project.
Addressing pressmen at Okigwe road party Secretariat, the state Chairman, Prince Barr Marcillinus Nlemigbo stated: “As we celebrate this remarkable milestone in our journey to nationhood, we the All Progressives Congress, Imo State chapter, consider it very pertinent to felicitate with Imolites in particular, and Nigerians in general, for their individual and collective sacrifice, commitment, and contributions to the unity, peace and progress of our country.
While appluading the positive spirit of Nigerians, Nlemigbo informed “It is very instructive to note that our journey so far has not been without threatening ups and downs, but with shared faith and trust in the indivisibility of the Nigerian project, we have continued to surmount every challenges on our path to greatness, including but not limited to political instability, insecurity among others as we remain undaunted in our match to greatness in unity and oneness”
As a political party, we appreciate the unparalleled solidarity and unflinching support of our people for our governments at various levels particularly the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, as we lead the Nigerian NEXT LEVEL march into a prosperous, united and secured nation.
In Imo State, it is important we use this very symbolic moment to once again register our gratitude and appreciation to the good people of Imo State for their unalloyed support to the APC led administration of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, while reaffirming the party’s commitment to fulfilling it’s promises as encapsulated under the shared prosperity administration policy thrust of recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
We are greatful to God that in spite of the permutations of naysayers and the mechanization of unscrupulous persons against our collective achievements, we have continued to overcome these challenges, while breaking new grounds individually and collectively as Nigerian people, both on local and international scenes, restoring our pride and dignity as the most resourceful and enterprising people among the black race of the world. We hold this as an enduring and evident truth: that in our unity lies the foundation of our greatness as a people.
As we celebrate this milestone, we will continue to work and advocate for the sustenance of the enduring legacies of our founding fathers – the legacy of one nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.
Finally, we wish to congratulate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Mohummadu Buhari, the governor of our dear state, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and the good people of Nigeria on this remarkable occasion of Nigeria at 60. Together, we’re matching forward to a secured, united and prosperous Nigeria.
