The Ntu-egbenese Clan, which stretches across several local government areas in both Enugu West and Enugu East Senatorial Zones, has praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his people-centered leadership as he marks two years in office.

The clan, through a 2-years-in-office congratulatory message to Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, which was signed by His Royal Majesty Igwe Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr, Ubojene II of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom and Akajiofo of the Ntu-egbenese Clan and sent to newsmen on Thursday, declared that Governor Mbah has brought hope and real development to communities that were once forgotten.

Igwe Ogbonna stated that Governor Mbah resolved a 25-year-old traditional leadership crisis in Ogugu that had left the people divided, adding that a modern Type 2 Primary Health Care Centre is currently being constructed in the area, which he said will bring healthcare closer to the grassroots.

The monarch also listed several other interventions by the Mbah administration, including the employment of over 20 sons and daughters of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient into different government agencies and the appointment of one of them as a commissioner in the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC).

He also added that communities in the clan have benefited from new roads, clean water, and other life-improving projects. “Governor Mbah is doing the work many before him only promised,” he said.

Speaking further, the royal father pointed to the new estate development in Agbogugu and the improved access to markets, schools, and farmlands across the 32 communities under the clan, efforts he said have strengthened the people’s confidence in government and in their future.

He, however, declared that the entire Ntu-egbenese Clan stands firmly with Governor Mbah and will continue to give him all the support he needs.

The statement reads, PRESS RELEASE Ntu-egbenese Clan and Ogugu Ancient Kingdom Celebrate Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s Two Years of Purposeful Leadership

The people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom and the wider Ntu-egbenese Clan, which cuts across various local government areas in both Enugu West and Enugu East Senatorial Zones, heartily celebrate His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, as he marks two years of focused, people-oriented governance in Enugu State.

Governor Mbah’s intervention in Ogugu ended a traditional leadership problem that lingered for over 25 years. This bold move brought lasting peace, unity, and stability to our kingdom and restored the dignity of our traditional institution.

Today, our people are witnessing a new era of progress. The construction of a standard Type 2 Primary Health Care Centre in Ogugu by the Mbah-led administration is a clear example of what it means to touch lives at the grassroots. For the first time in many years, our sick and elderly ones will no longer travel far to receive basic health care.

Our joy also stems from the over 20 sons and daughters of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese who have been offered gainful employment in various government offices. One of our own now serves as an ENSIEC Commissioner — a clear signal that our people are being carried along in the affairs of the state.

Furthermore, Governor Mbah has opened up our communities with roads and other key infrastructure. The ongoing estate development in Agbogugu amongst others are just a few of the many impactful projects across the 32 communities of the Ntu-egbenese Clan.

These achievements are not hidden. Our farmers can now move their goods with ease. Our children go to school on better roads. Clean water and other basic services are getting to places that were forgotten for decades. Enugu is wearing a new look under Governor Mbah’s watch.

On behalf of the Ntu-egbenese Clan, we declare that we are proud of Governor Mbah. His style of leadership has brought back the people’s confidence in government. Come 2027, there is no vacancy in Lion Building. Governor Mbah will have only himself to contest with.

Signed: His Royal Majesty, Igwe Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr Ubojene II of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom Akajiofo Ntu-egbenese Clan.
