
Ohanaeze Ndigbo youths have lauded the Chairman, Board of Directors, Odera Helping Hands Foundation, Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani for offsetting hospital bills of stranded patients at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu.
Chief Nnamani, through his Foundation paid hospital bills worth N10 million, drawing dancing and praises from the beneficiaries, as well as the hospital management.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has now joined in praising Chief Nnamani for coming to the rescue of the helpless discharged patients.
In a statement signed by Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, he described Chief Nnamani as a true son of Igboland who has dedicated himself for the service of humanity.
“On behalf of the beneficiaries of this kind gesture, we express our deep appreciation to Chief Nnamani, who through his foundation has wiped away the tears of our people.
“He is not the richest person in Igboland, but it is just a demonstration that he is committed to the welfare and comfort of our people. This is not the first time he is taking care of the under-privileged, and the Igbo youths are not taking it for granted.”
He urged others to emulate such a gesture, which came at a time “our people are facing the highest level of humanitarian crisis, manifest in acute hunger and hardship.
“Chief Nnamani has prolonged the lives of the beneficiaries, given them hope, and set the pace for other well to do Igbo men and women to take a cue.”
