Chief. Barrister Chidi Henry Ojinere, Executive Chairman of FWE Western Energy Company Limited, has been honoured with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Odozi-Obodo 1 of Mbaise Nation.
The conferment took place on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the palace of Eze Nwaturuocha of Nguru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
The traditional honour was conferred by the Ndi Eze Mbaise, led by His Royal Majesty, HRM Eze M. J. D Nwaruruocha, Eze Udo V of Nguru Nwekeoha, alongside HRM Eze Sabbi Nwaneche, Ugwu 1 of Ogwuama, and HRM Eze Anthony Nwanguma.
The occasion attracted an array of prominent personalities from politics, business, traditional institutions and other sectors who gathered at Ojinere’s village mansion in Umuchieze Community to celebrate the milestone.

The celebrations continued on Saturday, August 15th 2026, during the Iri-Ji Mbaise 2026 Festival, where Barrister Ojinere was further recognised with a Grand Patron Award for his contributions to the development and wellbeing of the people.
Ojinere was described as a philanthropist whose interventions have positively impacted youths and women while supporting developmental projects in Ihitteafoukwu and across Mbaise Nation.
The honours, according to the organisers, reflect the recognition of Ojinere’s contributions to community development, philanthropy and the advancement of the people of Mbaise.
The events brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, community leaders, professionals and other stakeholders to celebrate a man whose activities have continued to attract recognition within and beyond Mbaise Nation.
