The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 12 noon.

The meeting will take place at the party’s presidential campaign office, Legacy House, in Maitama District, Abuja.

This gathering is intended to discuss important matters affecting the party, including plans for upcoming political activities.

The NEC is a major decision-making body within the PDP.

It includes the National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee, state governors, current and former presidents and vice presidents, key officials from the Board of Trustees, leaders from the National Assembly, state party chairpersons, former governors, and founding members.

This diverse group will come together to review and plan the party’s direction moving forward.

Earlier, on Sunday, May 25, the PDP National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, announced that the NEC meeting had been postponed.

The reason given was to allow the Reconciliation Committee led by former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki to finish resolving internal disputes within the party.

Anyanwu said this was necessary to ensure a peaceful and productive meeting once it was held.
